With Sadé Chocolat Ancestral, Suzan Inan would like to show us a rough, coarse-grained chocolate that was only minimally processed, completely handmade, just as the Mayas and Aztecs processed their food of the gods. Every step of this time-consuming process of turning cocoa beans into chocolate is done by hand by Suzan herself.
This coarse-grained chocolate bar was inspired by a recipe from the 19th century that was supposed to help us regain strength during a healing process. This chocolate bar combines the rich and nourishing power of sweet potatoes with the subtle chocolate melt of caramelized sesame seeds. Sadé's proposal for a natural herbal alternative compared to pralines.
