The Kingdom of the Solomon Islands is located in the east of Papua New Guinea and consists of thousands of islands that represent an emerging area that is hardly larger than Switzerland.
In recent years, small families have gradually replaced large oil palm plantations with cocoa farms. Although the Solomonic cocoa is still little known, it stands out for its rarity and subtle complexity.
David Junior Kebu's cocoa plantation is located in the northeast of the island of Guadalcanal near the city of Honiara. The family farm on the banks of the Matepono is characterized by the quality of the fermentation, drying and selection of the cocoa beans. This work earned him a gold medal at the International Cocoa Awards in 2015.
