The cacao for this chocolate bar originates from ten different farming families located in the La Dalia region in Nicaragua. In order to supply cacao beans for Friis Holm, the cocoa farmers are trained to separate their cacao according to type. In the case of old cocoa trees, sorting into the respective varieties is very time-consuming due to the natural cross-pollination.
