Garçoa is a small, puristic bean to bar chocolate manufacturer in Zurich Switzerland. The cocoa is sourced directly from Rio Piura in the Chulucanas area, Peru. In Switzerland, the beans roasted, winnowed and ground in small batches. The finished chocolate is poured by hand into beautiful moulds and also packaged manually. Everything is only processed with minimum touches to help develop the flavor of the cocoa beans, and only two ingredients are used, cocoa beans and sugar. No cocoa butter. No additives.
In the Amazon region, cocoa cultivation is an alternative to coca cultivation for many farming families. In the Curimanà region, thanks to state and international initiatives, a cooperative has been set up whose cocoa they happily process.
