ZOTO is a Belgian family company founded in 2016 by ZOi Papalexandratou and Tom De Winne.
Both have applied their skills as engineers in biology in the cocoa sector. They have lived and worked for over 13
years in the tropics and all over the world. ZOTO specializes in advising cocoa projects
and carries out all quality and evaluation projects in Belgium. They travel to cocoa plantations for
short-term consultations and / or training with a focus on improving cocoa quality.
ZOTO would like to discover still unknown cocoa with potential, improve their quality and then offer them to the
world. In this way, the company makes cocoa cultivation profitable again, taking into account tradition, culture and
the environment. Their aim is to preserve as many unique and local cocoa varieties as possible around the world and
through their work to regain respect for chocolate from chocolate consumers. They do this through a taste journey with
their very own ZOTO chocolate bars.
